Hi, I have hp pavilion w5160in computer, with asustek tv7154 tv-tuner card. Came with winxp preinstalled.

I have a settop box with rf cable input and rca output which goes inside my tv tuner card. The settop box comes with its own remote control which i use to change channels on winxp using intervideo hometheatre software. I have intervideo remote and IR receiver which is used to browse through the software. Now when i installed win7(on another partition), WMC is not detecting the IR receiver even though its listed in the device manager, I am able to get preview of the cable signal and when i click next, i get the 'IR received not detected' error.
